Hi, I’m Sajib, founder and editor of India Tour Blog. This site exists to make planning a trip to India simpler, cheaper and less stressful, whether it is your first visit or your fifth.
Why this site exists
India is one of the most rewarding countries in the world to travel, but planning a trip here can feel overwhelming. Distances are huge, the weather changes completely from region to region, and costs range from a few hundred rupees a day to palace-hotel prices. Too much travel advice online is either outdated or written to sell you something. We want to give you clear, practical answers you can actually plan with.
What you will find here
- Destination guides covering famous places and lesser-known corners of India.
- Itineraries with realistic day-by-day plans and travel times.
- Budget breakdowns showing what things really cost, in rupees and US dollars.
- Free planning tools: our trip budget calculator, best-time-to-visit checker and packing list generator.
Who we write for
We write for international travellers planning a visit to India and for Indian travellers exploring their own country. We use plain language, show both rupee and dollar costs, and point out things first-time visitors usually don’t know, such as temple etiquette, booking trains, and which seasons to avoid.
How we keep guides accurate
Travel information changes quickly. Our guides are researched against current search results and reliable sources, use AI tools to help draft, and pass an automated fact-checking and quality review before they appear. When readers report something out of date, we fix it. Every article shows when it was last updated, and our Editorial Policy explains the process in full.
How this site is funded
The site is free to read. It is supported by advertising and by affiliate links to booking partners, which may pay us a small commission at no extra cost to you. Partners never pay for positive coverage. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
